About Me
I am Navaneeth Swaminathan, a Violinist, Performing Artist and Teacher from Chennai.
​
I was born and brought up in Chennai, South India-the home of Carnatic music and my journey as a violinist started at a very young age. Since then, my passion to learn music has only grown multi-fold and has been the driving force to pursue a career in music. Now I'm a full-time artist and my musical realms include Carnatic, Western, Film and Fusion Music. I also love listening to a multi-genre mix of Synthwave, Hip-Hop, Pop, EDM, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Electronica and others as well.

Music is always an inspiring and motivational journey and that means having tons of inspiration from artists, singers, music producers, composers and bands such as A.R. Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, Amit Trivedi, Radiohead, Snarky Puppy, Jacob Collier, Daft Punk, Dire Straits, Avicii, Green Day, etc., the list goes on!

I’m also a Grade 8 Artist in Western Classical Music from Trinity College of Music, London, with 15 years of experience in playing the violin.
My experience as a teacher has also grown along the way, teaching many students all over India and abroad. I love teaching and explaining concepts and when combining it with music, the passion is even more profound.
The growth from this incredible journey has led me to perform in live shows, theatrical and musical events both as a solo artist and as a band at reputed venues such as The Music Academy, Indian Fine Arts Society, Alliance Francaise of Madras, Academy of Western Music, The Artery and many more. Apart from live performances, I have also worked as a recording artist for many independent projects, short films and albums.
